Hi, I’m Ariadna.
The woman behind VIRAGO.
Although this project carries my name, Virago isn’t just about me.
It’s about us. About women who don’t quite fit in, who don’t want to go unnoticed, and who know that a basic should never be boring.
Virago wasn’t born from a perfect plan, but from a very clear idea: to create pieces that make you feel confident, authentic, and powerful — even on ordinary days. I started this journey while pregnant with Iu, during a life-changing moment filled with fear, excitement, and uncertainty. I came from the world of criminology — far removed from fashion — but I’ve always had a strong need to create, to dress with attitude rather than follow trends.
On September 20th, 2023, Virago came to life.
And suddenly, I had two “babies”: Iu and Virago.
For months, everything was intense. Workshops, fabrics, big decisions, and many sleepless nights. Iu came with me everywhere; he was literally Virago’s little boss. There was chaos, doubt, and self-pressure, but there was also something incredibly powerful: your energy. Every order, every message, every sign of support reminded me that this was about so much more than clothing.
And then I truly understood: Virago wasn’t just my dream.
You were turning it into a community with its own identity.
Today, Virago is for women who want to be themselves without asking for permission. For those who know a basic can have character. For those who refuse to be “just another one.”
